TOUR ITINERARY 8-HOURS

Arrive in Seward at the cruise ship terminal and transfer to our vehicle to begin your full-day adventure starting with a city tour of Seward, a small town located on Resurrection Bay. This small fishing town is full of activity during the summer. This morning you have the choice of a hike to Exit Glacier or a visit to the Alaska Sea Life Center. The Exit Glacier hike is a nice easy hike where we will take you to the face of the glacier. From here, you will enjoy beautiful mountain vistas as your guide talks about the geology of the area and glacier progression through the valley.

Your other option on this tour is a visit to The Alaska SeaLife Center, Alaska’s premier public aquarium and Alaska's only permanent marine mammal rehabilitation facility, is located on the shores of Resurrection Bay. This facility is dedicated to understanding and maintaining the integrity of the marine ecosystem of Alaska through research, rehabilitation, conservation, and public education. It is the only facility in the world specifically dedicated to studying the northern marine environment and the only one designed at the outset to combine research with public education and visitor components. We will spend almost 2 hours at this facility. Afterwards, we will enjoy lunch at a local cafe.

After lunch, we depart Seward and drive north along the Seward Highway.  This road is considered to be America’s most beautiful and scenic road, crossing mountain passes and majestic valleys. Along the way we will try to spot moose, caribou, eagles and other wildlife. On our way towards Anchorage, we will make a couple of stops for photo opportunities. We will also visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center opened to the public in 1993. It is located on 140 acres at the southern edge of Turnagain Arm and the entrance to Portage Valley. The center’s mission is to provide care and rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife and to provide wildlife education and awareness. Animals that are unable to be released or survive in the wild are given refuge in the center's spacious habitats. Here people can safely get close, observe and photograph some of Alaska's largest land animals, including moose, bison, elk, deer, caribou, bears muskox, small mammals and birds of prey. During spring and summer, visitors can often witness the rehabilitation of orphaned baby animals of various species.

Allow up to 8 hours (approximately) for this tour. This tour ends in Anchorage.
