wind and solar powered generators. No televisions,

VIEWING & PHOTOGRAPHY EXPEDITION
The wild and lonely Walrus Islands, and the nearby
wilderness coast of the Togiak Refuge, are summer
residence for a range of animals and birds, including
walrus, the endangered Steller sea lion, giant Alaska
brown (grizzly) bears, two species of puffins, and other
seabirds and raptors.

MATANUSKA
GLACIER HIKE - 1.5 HOUR
Discover glacier hiking and the natural history of the
Matanuska Glacier. This trip is designed for family fun and
ages 6-86 (more or less). You'll use mountaineering crampons
to "walk on water" as you explore the glacier with your
guide. A great overview and photo opportunity.
MATANUSKA
GLACIER ICE FALL TREK - 3 HOUR
Our most popular hike, featuring
close-up views of crevasses, seracs and unique ice
formations. With the use of crampons, you'll enjoy
trekking to a high point on the glacier which overlooks
the ice fall as well as getting up close. The glacier is
in a constant state of change, and your guide can point
out various features as you navigate the intense
surface. This is sure to be an unforgettable experience. MATANUSKA
GLACIER INTERPRETIVE GROUP HIKE - 1 HOUR
This short walk is planned to
give your large group the opportunity to stand on a
glacier, learn about the natural history of the area and
get some great photos. Your group will have a fun and
entertaining walk down to the edge of the blue ice led
by a knowledgeable Guide. It's a relatively easy walk,
taking about an hour. We do not use any special
equipment for this trip as we are hiking mainly on dirt
and gravel. MATANUSKA
GLACIER MIDNIGHT SUN TREK
Enjoy the Ice Fall Trek by
the light of the midnight sun. These trips are available
in June, July and August, and are great for photography
enthusiasts. You will marvel at the alpenglow on the ice
and enjoy the sounds of the glacier as it settles in for
the evening. Midnight Sun hikes leave at 6:00 pm by
prior arrangement. No experience necessary.

RIVER 2 HOUR FLOAT TRIP
Few places in the world can equal the scale and beauty of
Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range. On this two hour
narrated Talkeetna River Natural History Float Trip, you
will see spectacular vistas of this magnificent scenery.
Explore the lower end of the famous Talkeetna River,
which is steeped in history and the Alaskan pioneering
spirit.

Rafting through the pristine wildlands of Denali State
Park (and the borderlands of Denali National Park), you

- TURNAGAIN ARM DAY TOUR
Experience the highlights of the Turnagain Arm! This
day tour departs Anchorage for the scenic drive south
along the edge of the Turnagain Arm on the Seward
Parkway. This road is considered to be America’s most
beautiful and scenic road, crossing mountain passes and
majestic valleys. See Portage Glacier, the Alaska
Wildlife Conservation Center and take a ride on Alyeska
Resort's tram. Enjoy lunch at the top of the mountain
