Experience the excitement of  "The Toughest Race in the World" The Yukon Quest is a 1,000 mile sled dog race between Fairbanks Alaska and Whitehorse, located in the Yukon Territory of Canada.

 

   
The Yukon Race takes about 12 - 15 days to complete depending on trail conditions.
   
The first Yukon race started in 1984 and has run every year since. This tough race travels over 1,000 miles through very hazardous terrain. The trail follows a route used in the 1898 gold rush to the Klondike which occurred along the US/Canada border.
   
On this tour you will have the opportunity to witness the magical spectacle of the Aurora Borealis or "Northern Lights" Fairbanks is world renown for being one of the places to see the lights.
