After spotting wildlife (we often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats) and Alaska's glacial beauty from the air, guests can ride the runners on a glacier with accomplished dog mushers including Iditarod veterans.  This is the perfect tour for families and individuals of all abilities. You'll take the dog team for an exhilarating dogsled ride through snow.

What You Need To Know

You’ll participate in the most exciting adventure imaginable. This is an Alaskan adventure for all ages and abilities. The journey begins when you are conveniently picked up at your hotel in Anchorage and transported to the helipad in the Matanuska Valley. The scenic helicopter tour over glaciers and in-between mountain peaks is only the beginning of this legendary Alaskan tour. While taking in magnificent views of the glaciers below, you will arrive at the dogsledding camp, where you will enjoy a kennel tour, and the ultimate highlight of this tour, the dogsled ride! Hang on tight. You’ll be surprised how powerful our huskies are!

There is nothing in the world like being on top of a glacier in Alaska “mushing” a dog team!

TOUR DATES, COST & TOUR INFORMATION

Tour Dates: Daily Departures from the Downtown Anchorage Area (MAY 15 - SEPTEMBER, 10)

Tour Cost: $699 per person. All groups are subject to a minimum group size in order to depart. Your tour includes round trip helicopter flight and approximately 1.5 hours on the glacier with the dogs and dog musher. This tour also includes guided transportation from your Anchorage area hotel to the helicopter-port. We provide complimentary water and snacks while on our tour vehicle as well as News over-boots to go over your shoes. Please bring sturdy walking shoes. No sandals or open toe shoes.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: MODERATE: Guests will need to be able to get into and out of the helicopter unassisted (or with a little assistance).  They will also need to be able to walk a minimum of 150 feet over potential uneven snow and stand/walk for the 1 hour while at the dog camp.  Guests are not able to stay in helicopter, as the helicopter will drop them off on the glacier and return to town with other passengers.  Tour participants must be able to walk this distance.

Cancellation Policy
A MasterCard or Visa is required to make your reservation online. Your card will be charged when you book your trip. We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations otherwise a cancellation fee of 50% may be charged. No-shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will not be eligible for a refund.
Late arrivals that miss the departure will be considered a no-show. *Hike start/stop dates vary, please call us if you have questions.
